Drama-rama

No onesie for me, but boy was it a suspenseful week! Plus I must admit I got a little fangirl giddy that she commented on the previous post.

Ahhh what a week. I am such a crab. I was DYING to give away a free coffee or two to cheer myself up today but no one worthy came in, at an appropriate time anyways. I had four or five people in mind but only two of them came in at all, and both when there was someone else working till and we were all crazy busy. Which was most of the morning actually. It was just Amyna and I and we had a lineup for about 2 hours straight. We totally rocked it. I made drinks and the timing/type of drinks was just perfect to get everything out in good time. I love rushes, I get all fired up. Then when they're over I stay all bouncy and hyper for a bit then crash to exhaustion if it doesn't pick up again.

Everyone's heard the drama for this week by now right? The gist: A few weeks ago I was told that around the end of Feb when the owners took over another store downtown I would be going there to be manager. Monday I was told that they decided I should stay where I am now, because they would have to hire too many people for this store if pretty much everyone was leaving for the other store. I thought okay, fine, I'd rather stay and work with the owner who's going to stay anyways, we just work better together, etc, but then I found out that Ken is also staying at our store, so I guess that means I won't be manager of anything and basically my job will not change at all. They don't seem to realize in the slightest that they told me I would be getting a promotion and now they're taking it back, and I was super upset about it. Basically I felt like crap for most of the week. Then Aleem made wise-ass jokes about my salary being too high all week long and I wanted to punch him in the face. I have decided to leave the matter for the moment and just carry on. I wanted to say something earlier, but I thought I should wait til I calmed down so as not to get to worked up with them or snap or something. This is actually the second time they've done this (though the first time I knew it was bullshit and would never happen) and if they ever say anything about me becoming manager again I'll probably flip out at them a little, but for now, there are too many other employee issues I wish they would address right now so I'm gonna leave it. I am however, taking this Sunday off. I need a whole weekend dammit!

Oh what else...Amy and I went to Ikea on wacky Wednesday and spent a ridiculously small amount of money. Pats on the back for us. I just got another of those round table lamps with the white flowers (I think Tammy and Dylan have the same one?) and some tiny lightbulbs for the little pink matching lamp that Dylan bought me before I left in the summer, so now I can actually use it! I think it was also the shortest amount of time we have ever spent in Ikea.

I can complain about how cold it is here if you want? But maybe you are sick of that, and I should just get over it all ready.

It is really cold though.
